Packing and Crating
Works of art come in all shapes and sizes and have specialised packing requirements, whether for transport or storage. Our experts in the packing department can advise you on the specific type of packing best suited to your art works. You can choose between having tailor-made packaging made to your specifications or leasing standard crates, frames or other packaging materials. Our wooden crates are made by hand and are designed to regulate humidity.

Fine Art Crates
Fine art crates are only suitable for road transport and air freight. They are equipped with a rail system and quoins, allowing paintings to be secured in the crate. The adjustable internal dimensions mean that the painting’s dimensions do not have to correspond precisely to those of the crate. The crates come in five different sizes, the largest of which has maximum internal dimensions of 215 cm (l) x 15 cm (w) x 200 cm (h).
Baby Blue
Baby Blue crates are climate crates, suitable for both road transport and air freight. We take careful measurements of the object in advance and tailor the crate’s interior to its specifications. The advantage of the Baby Blue crate is that the extra space around the object can be filled, so that the object is completely surrounded and vacuum packed, ensuring better climate control.
