JOHN NURMINEN PRIMA RECEIVES THE AUTHORIZED ECONOMIC OPERATOR CERTIFICATE
Amsterdam, January 09, 2012 - John Nurminen Prima (JNP) has become the first Dutch fine arts logistic company to earn the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate for its Amsterdam-based operation.
The certification has been introduced within the European Union to achieve a certain level of standardization in customs procedures and security in transport. This accreditation will help facilitate the customs clearance of high value items on behalf of Crown Fine Arts clients. The goal of the certification is to have a hundred percent control on the import and export of goods to and from the European Union.

Some of the advantages of having the AEO status are:
- Less physical customs checks
- Less waiting time in the case of customs checks
- Customs clearance can be done effectively using less information
- Possibility to have customs checks take place at a different location
Fred Weijgertse, JNP managing director EMEA Region commented: “After the merger with Crown Fine Arts in November of 2011, this is another important step for us to better service our international clients from one single source. Eventually, the clients of JNP and our parent company Crown Fine Arts – in particular, museums, galleries and private collectors – will benefit from this accreditation by receiving a faster customs clearance via one service partner.
